What We Believe

The Bible

We believe all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.

The Trinity

We believe there is only one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit; who are co-equal in their essential nature, attributes, and perfection.

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, who is the absolute ruler of the universe. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and present everywhere at once.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity. He is therefore equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit.  As a divine being He shares with the other members of the Trinity all of the attributes of divinity.

Jesus Christ led a perfect, sinless life on earth and died on the cross willingly as a substitute for sinful man. We believe Jesus Christ, through His death on the cross, completely satisfied the righteous wrath of God against sin and provided redemption and forgiveness.

Holy Spirit

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, who convicts individuals of sin. He brings new life, indwells, seals, sanctifies, guides, equips, teaches, and provides spiritual gifts to the believer. He produces the fruit of the Spirit in the life of the believer.

Creation

We believe in the biblical account of creation, and that it is to be accepted as a historical event, and not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God’s own image and after His own likeness; not by evolution or evolutionary change of species.

Salvation

We believe that the only way of salvation is personally trusting in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and in His bodily resurrection. Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace involving regeneration, reconciliation, justification by faith and forgiveness for sin.

Ordinances

We believe there are two ordinances for the Church in the New Testament. Baptism: The immersion of the believer in water. Communion: The memorial wherein the believer partakes of the two elements, bread and wine, which symbolize the Lord’s body and shed blood, proclaiming His death until He comes.

The Great Commission

We believe that until the return of Christ, it is the Christian’s privilege and duty to spread the gospel throughout the world, making disciples of all nations.
